Project Ableton

Many years ago I used to buy records of the 12″ dance much variety and just goof around in my lounge and make MiniDisk mixes, I never got to the point of sending them to bars/clubs or promoters as I wasn’t making them to make money or to acquire any kind of ego stroking, a hobby I suppose…

After a while and once owning a circa 400 records or so I realised I was just burning money as I would generally end up paying between £4-£8 for a single song mix, in the digital age you can buy single mixes for between £1-£2 and thus it doesn’t become such an expensive hobby so Project Ableton is born.

The following steps need to be completed:

  1. Procure laptop
  2. Buy Ableton
  3. Buy tunes
  4. Buy headphones
  5. Buy external soundcard (pretty sure the internal one is useless)
  6. Buy mixer
  7. Learn to use all the above
  8. Get a gig and laugh

Step 1 and 2 are completed the others steps will be done over time as funds allow.
